North Little Rock, AR - 1933 Old Mill

The 1933 Old Mill in North Little Rock, Arkansas’ T. R. Pugh Memorial Park is a replica of an abandoned water-powered gristmill of the sort that pioneer families were quick to build as they established communities across the U.S. South and West. The Old Mill got a moment — and just a moment — of international fame when an image of it appeared in the opening credits of the 1939 classic movie “Gone With the Wind,” even though the movie, and the Margaret Mitchell book that inspired it, were set in Georgia, several states away.
