Kingman, AZ - El Trovatore Motel

One of the few pre-World War II tourist courts left in Kingman, Arizona, the El Trovatore Motel started in 1937 as a service station and was upgraded to a tourist court a couple of years later. Located in historic downtown it was first owned by John F. Miller, who also built the first hotel in Las Vegas Nevada in 1906, the Sal Sagev, which is Las Vegas backward. Today the El Trovatore has been renovated and redecorated to continue welcoming guests along Route 66. Photo by Jim Hinckley.
