A “drover caboose” in Wickenburg, a small Arizona city northwest of Phoenix that was once a “rough and ready” western frontier town that still spotlights Old West scenes and dress and art and refers to its location as “out Wickenburg Way.” Drovers were cowboys who herded cattle, sometimes far from civilization. They didn’t always sleep under the stars as cowboy songs would have you believe, however. Sometimes they bunked in cabooses of trains that ran along lines across the plains.
