The dining room in Scotty's Castle, Death Valley National Park, California. Originally this room was to be Albert's library. The shelves were made to hold books but it soon became a dining room. Though Scotty liked to cook, he did not often eat with other guests. Instead, he ate alone before the meal. When the meal was served, Scotty sat in the alcove and told stories as everyone ate.
