A row of iconic and gingerbread-decorated, carpenter-gothic-style cottages in the town of Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard Island, a popular summering destination in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Massachusetts. Many of the more than 300 cottages date to the period following the U.S. Civil war of the 1850s, when the area was known as Wesleyan Grove, and open-air revival-style Methodist camp meetings were held here.
