Standing at 910 5th Street in Clay Center, Kansas is the First Baptist Church. A building committee was appointed in the fall of 1909, and the First Baptist Church congregation held a farewell ceremony for their old building on April 22, 1910. The new church building was dedicated on April 20, 1911. The two-story brick building cost nearly $25,000.
