Rain clouds move into the Wisconsin Peninsula in Door County. People have inhabited this peninsula for 11,000 years, with artifacts at Nicolet Bay beach dated to about 400 BC. During the 1800's the Potawatomi tribe also occupied the area that would become Door County and its islands. Under the Indian Removal Act of 1830, these Natives were removed.
