Fernandina Beach, FL - Fort Clinch Interior - 4

Scene inside the fortress at Fort Clinch State Park, now a living-history museum in the town of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, in the very northeastern corner of Florida, near Jacksonville. The fort was constructed beginning in 1847 by U.S. Army forces fighting the Seminole people, a Native American group entrenched in what had been Spanish Florida before the War of 1812.
