Logo sign at The Varsity, often called the Varsity Grill, a local drive-in restaurant that became somewhat of a "must-see" institution in Atlanta, the capital city of the southern U.S. state of Georgia and the state's largest city. There are now six (2017) other branches across metropolitan Atlanta and others across Georgia. Originally named “The Yellow Jacket,” The Varsity was established in 1928. This main location is said to be responsible for more annual retail sales of Coca-Cola than any other single location worldwide. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2017.
