The Ford Buildings, as they are known, on the 27,000-acre campus of Berry College in Mount Berry, near Rome, Georgia. The buildings were built with funds donated to the school in the 1920s by automaker Henry Ford, then the wealtiest man in America, who, with his wife, Clara, had befriended Martha Berry, who had founded what were then three schools for able but poor children of the rural south.
