Ahmeek, MI - Streetcar Station

The Ahmeek Streetcar Station was built around 1901, with the start of the Houghton County Traction Company Line. It was the second to last stop on the line with cars stopping every half hour. Cost you 15 cents to ride to Houghton, MI.

The company folded in 1932 and the building has since been used as a gas station, antique shop, restaurant, and an Ice Cream Parlor which has recently been upgraded. Today it serves primarily as vacation rentals.
