Independence, KS - Little House on the Prairie Museum Wayside Post Office
The historic 1885 Wayside Post Office served residents until the US Postal Service consolidated services. It was moved to the Little House on the Prairie Museum site in 1977 to save it from destruction and preserve it for future generations.
