The first Leavenworth County, Kansas courthouse was a three-story structure designed by Carr & Schultz and constructed by Anderson & Liddle in 1873-1874 for $120,416. It was destroyed by fire on March 22, 1911. The second and present courthouse was constructed from 1911 to 1913 at a cost of $110,916.
