A classic roadside advertising figure — the "Big Boy," tied to chain restaurants beginning with a single Bob's Pantry in 1936 in Glendale,
California . This lad stands at a nostalgic roadside attraction, the Classical Gas Museum, in the Rocky Mountain foothills of northern New Mexico, near the town of Dixon. The museum name is a play on words referencing both the site's many vintage gas-pump and -sign displays and also the popular "Classical Gas" instrumental song of the 1960s.
