Herb and vegetable garden at Hancock Shaker Village in Hancock, Massachusetts, established in 1791. One of several Shaker communities established between 1783 and 1836 in New England, New York, and across the U.S. Midwest, the village was closed in 1960 and sold to a local group that operates the property as a living-history museum.
