A classic c.-1800 New England "saltbox"-style house at Pettengill Farm, a nineteenth-century saltwater farm on the estuary of the Harraseeket River, near Freeport, Maine. The estate's 140 acres, now owned by the Freeport Historical Society, include fields and woods, antique apple orchards, and the salt marsh that gives the "saltwater farm" its name.
