A covered wagon at the Martin's Cove Mormon Handcart historic site in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The site -- on the old Mormon and Oregon trails (and the California Trail and Pony Express route as well, which all followed similar routes before diverging in what is now western Wyoming -- recalls the Mormons' westward migration after they were forced from their village in Illinois.
