Buffalo, NY - 1870 State Asylum for the Insane

The landmark towers of the Richardson Olmsted Complex -- the 1870 Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane, whose building and grounds were designed by architect Henry Hobson Richardson and landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, respectively. Over the years, as mental health treatment changed, the complex deteriorated. As of 2018, renewal has begun with a new Hotel Henry Urban Resort Conference Center in this tower building.
