View of Lake Marie in Wyoming's Snowy Range, between Saratoga and Laramie. Surprisingly for October, there's no sign of the substance that gives the range its name. Buried under many feet of snow each winter, the road past the lake is often closed. Lake Marie is named after Mary Bellamy, the first woman elected to the Wyoming State Legislature in 1910.
