Butte, MT - Covellite Theatre in the 1897 First Presbyterian Church

The Covellite Theatre and Uptown Lounge, a music and event venue in the 1897 First Presbyterian Church building in Montana, Montana, a thriving late 1800s and early 1900s gold, silver, and copper mining boomtown — so prosperous that it was known as "The Richest Hill on Earth." The Covellite name refers to a beautiful copper sulfide mineral. Many Butte streets are named after minerals, including some known mostly in mining towns and chemistry classrooms.
