The historic Murray Hotel & Cafe — and their modernist sign — are local institutions in Livingston, Montana, an old railroad town that became the first gateway city to nearby Yellowstone National Park — America's first national park. The Murray calls itself "an authentic western hotel." According to its website, "Celebrities such as Buffalo Bill and Calamity Jane have graced the threshold of what was once 'the' elegant railroad hotel," which opened in 1904.
