Beaverhead Gateway Ranch - Many of the rangelands in this valley still look largely as they did even before the Lewis and Clark Expedition came through here.
Montana Highway 41, and several other roads in the area began as aboriginal trails that converged near the landmark now called Beaverhead Rock. It was the sight of this natural limestone outcrop that brought long-sought relief to the Corps of Discovery in 1805.
