Virginia City, MT - Kiskadden & Co. Today

The Kiskadden Stone Block building, erected in 1863, was
Virginia City, Montana's first stone building. It was built of rough rock covered with stucco scored to look like quarried stone. Originally there were three ground floor shops and the Montana Vigilantes reputedly met upstairs. George Thexton converted the building to a livery and blacksmith shop in 1872.
