The Plains Theater in the northwest Nebraska town of Rushville. The building, with its distinctive false front (and an unseen tin roof) was constructed as Gourley's Opera House in 1914. "Gourley" was Dave Gourley, who not only built the theater but also brought electricity to the town. A wooden floor found in the basement was said to have been used for dances and roller skating.
