Keystone, NE - Church

A remarkable little church (in fact, called The Little Church), built in 1908, stands on the Nebraskagrasslands in the little village of Keystone (population 62 as of 2022). It's remarkable — and locals say, nearly unique in the world — because was long home to both Protestant (Presbyterian) and Roman Catholic congregations, with altars and seating in separate ends of the tiny sanctuary. No longer active, it is available for viewing by appointment. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2021.
