The 1900 Northern Pacific Railroad depot, moved from Emden, North Dakota, to Bonanzaville, an outdoor history museum of the Cass County Historical Society in West Fargo. A bonanza is an event that produces sudden wealth or good fortune. It's a word often associated with happenings such as the discovery of oil or gold on the American plains or western mountains. Note the display of pioneer figures outside the cabin with cutouts in which visitors can insert their heads for whimsical souvenir photographs. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2021.
