Tower of the Walker Center skyscraper, built as the Walker Bank Building in 1912 in Salt Lake City, the capital and largest city in the western state of Utah. For some time, the 16-story building ranked as the tallest building between Chicago, Illinois, and San Francisco, California. When illuminated, its tower gives weather forecasts of a sort, turning blue for clear skies, flashing blue on cloudy days, red when rain is expected, and flashing red when it's likely to snow.
