Scene in Havasu Canyon, an offshoot of the Grand Canyon near the Havasupai Indian settlement of Supai in northern Arizona. The canyon is precipitous and remote, accessible only via strenous hikes (or by helicopter in an emergency) with the permission of, and entrance payment to, the Havasupai tribe. These hikes are part of many people’s wish lists (sometimes called bucket lists), because the canyon is not only wild and beautiful but also home to five separate scenic waterfalls.
