The middle fork of the Flathead River past Glacier National Park, in West Glacier Village. In many parts of that park, grandeur has been lessened by "blister rust," a deadly fungus that has attacked and is slowly killing more than 75 percent of the park's trees. The park spills into Canada, and together the parkland forms what's called the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2022.
