Claremore, OK - El Sueno Tourist Court
The El Sueno Tourist Court in Claremont, Oklahoma was built in the Spanish Alamo Plaza style by Jack Sibley in 1938. The first motel on Route 66, it contained nine cottages that held 18 guest units. The two story building in the center held the office on the first floor and the owners quarters on the second floor. The center building once was connected by a wall between itself and the two cottages fronting the street. Today, the buildings are part of the Adobe Village partments at 402 N. J.M. Davis Blvd. Photo by John Margolies, 1982.
