Mom and Pop Motels come ago, not only along old Route 66, but, other historic roads around the country. They also tend to change owners and sometimes their names over the years. Tulsa's old portions of Route 66 still feature a number of vintage hotels, while others have turned to other uses, housing various types of businesses.The Brookshire Motel at 11017 E 11th Street on Route 66 in Tulsa, Oklahoma was vacant for a decade and had been caught in several fires.
