In it's heyday at the turn of the century until the 1940s, Hot Springs was the hot spot for sure. People journied from all across the country to enjoy the redeeming powers of the mineral waters that flowed from beneath the town. The once-fabulous bathhouse row is pretty much history now. The more than 100-year-old Arlington Hotel still stands tall on Central Avenue. Al Capone's gang headquartered in Hot Springs and the hotel hosted celebrities and athletes including Babe Ruth, Joe Dimaggio and many more. The hotel remains open today, giving guests a peek onto the days of splendor of the 20's and 30's. Photo by David Fisk.
