Boggsville, CO - Building

Old cabin in the last hometown of legendary western scout Christopher "Kit" Carson --Boggsville, a Bent County, Colorado town where Carson died. Carson's own humble cabin there was destroyed in a flood in 1921. Boggsville, originally a stagecoach stop on the Santa Fe Trail, was named for its principal resident, Thomas Boggs, an Indian trader and cattle dealer. Photo by Carol Highsmith.
