Valley Forge National Historic Park, PA - George Washington's Headquarters
George Washington’s Headquarters at Valley Forge National Historic Park, whose land is split between Montgomery and Chester counties in eastern Pennsylvania. The site preserves structures and other remains of the third winter encampment of the Continental Army from December 19, 1777, to June 19, 1778, during the American Revolutionary War. This restored colonial home was used by General Washington as his headquarters during the encampment is a key attraction at the park. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2015.
