Deadwood, SD - No. 10 Saloon
The "new" Old Style Saloon #10, located at 657 Main Street, is not the actual location of Wild Bill Hickok's shooting, but rather, was created in 1938. The first story of the building was constructed in 1880 by Ben Baer and Max Fishel where Baer operated a liquor store and Fishel ran a stationery store. However, in 1909, Sol Levinson moved his jewelry store in the building and added a second story and new front to the building the next year. Later the building housed a shoe and clothing store, until it was recreated as the Old Style Saloon #10 in 1938.
