The Governor's Residence in Pierre, the capital city of South Dakota (and, at c.-14,000 population as of 2021, the second-least-populated U.S. state capital ahead of only Montpelier, Vermont). Completed in 2005, it replaced a governor's mansion built by the Works Progress Administration in the 1930s that, upon completion of the new governor's residence, was moved to Rapid City in the state's Black Hills.
