Wranglers of the historic Lazy B Ranch on the New Mexico border — in fact, entered from New Mexico — in eastern Arizona, return from a roundup.. This was the humble homestead of the Day Family cattle ranch — the childhood home of Sandra Day O’Connor, who would one day become the first female justice of the United States Supreme Court, along with her mother, father, and siblings Ann and Alan Day. It is now (as of 2018), owned by the Sorensen Family, which continues is tradition as a working cattle ranch that retains its famous Lazy B brand. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2018.
