Ingram Falls, upper left, and Bridal Veil Falls, lower right, above Telluride, Colorado. Ingram Falls is a frequently overlooked compared to its nearby counterpart. Instead of being visible more or less at eye level, Ingram Falls drops out of a basin over 2,000 feet above the town, falling somewhere around 280 feet in three steps -- the largest being a prominent 175 foot plunge. The two-pronged Bridal Veil Falls is a 365-foot waterfall at the end of the box canyon overlooking Telluride, Colorado. The falls were opened briefly in the 1990s to ice climbers, but the area, is private property so climbing was soon legally prohibited.
