Bridgeport, OK - Canadian River Bridge

This celebrated Route 66 Pony Truss Bridge spans the South Canadian River between Canadian and Caddo Counties in Oklahoma. At 3,944.33 in length, it is the longest truss bridge in the state. It consists of 38 of the standard design 100-foot pony truss bridge and two 40-foot approaches with the concrete 'fence' railings. Built jointly by the state and federal governments, the contract for its construction was awarded on August 2, 1932. It was completed and accepted by the state on July 1, 1933. Located near Bridgeport, Oklahoma.
