Hollywood, CA - Hamburger Stand

There were five Harry Carpenter's Sandwich Stands in Los Angeles, including one that was located at the corner of Sunset and Vine. that Close to the movie and television studios, Harry Carpenter called his places "The Original Modern Drive-In" which were open 24 hours a day. Customers could have a "Real Hamburger " sandwich for 15 cents in their car. Service was also available at the gleaming tiled "sanitized" counter inside. In 1951 Carpenter’s becomes a Stan's Drive-in. Ten years later, it was demolished and the 20-story Sunset Vine Tower was built on the site.
