The Apache Motel is located at 1106 E. Route 66 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. It opened in 1964. Its vintage sign is outlined with approximately 800 bulbs on the front and back that flashed in a chasing pattern. The motel has been closed for several years and it sign is barely readable today.
