This is certainly not the "last drive-in picture show" in Gatesville, Texas, at the time of this photograph, at least. The name is a takeoff on the 1971 movie "The Last Picture Show," about a dying Texas town. Gatesville is the county seat of Coryell County in Central Texas. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2014.
