The “New” (1881) Cape Henry Lighthouse, one of two light stations at Fort Story in Virginia Beach, one of the Virginia communities in what’s called the “Tidewater” area. This one, still in use (as of 2019), is not open to the public but can be observed. Fort Henry is an active base, and public access is limited and includes searches and careful ID checks.
