The Wythe House at Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. Built in the 1750s, it was the home of law professor George Wythe, signer of the Declaration of Independence and a mentor to Thomas Jefferson and John Marshall – a future U.S. president and chief justice, respectively. Colonial Williamsburg is the world’s largest living-history museum, boasting 600 buildings (88 of them original 18th-Century) and more than 40 demonstration sites and trades.
