Ox driver Darin Durham checks on his twin oxen, Pat and Mike his colleague, site interpreter Lauren Kehoe, looks on at Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. This is the world’s larest living-history museum, boasting 600 buildings (88 of them original 18th-Century), and more than 40 demonstration sites and trades. The majority of the site interpreters are not actors but skilled tradesmen in job-appropriate attire who explain their trades to the public.
