You've quite possibly heard of Scotland's Loch Ness and its elusive, never-captured and perhaps barely photographed sea monster. This is a depiction of another such creature in Burlington,
Vermont, far across the Atlantic Ocean. Called "Champ" by its devotees, it represents a similarly elusive and quite possibly fanciful monster said to prowl the depths of the area's most famous feature -- Lake Champlain, separating Vermont and Upper New York State. Photo by Carol Highsmith.
