Blackfoot Tipis, 1913

The Blackfoot lodge (tipi) covering was supported by light, straight pine or spruce poles, about eighteen of which were required. Twelve skins made a lodge about fourteen feet in diameter at the base, and ten feet high. Blackfoot Tipis, 1913. Vintage image restored by Kathy Weiser-Alexander.
