Lights of the Matterhorn ride brighten the scene at the historic Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver, Colorado, which opened in 1908 adjacent to Lake Rhoda. It was originally named "White City" in remembrance of the famed, temporary wonder of the same name at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Photo by Carol Highsmith, 2016.
