A 1920s-era automobile service station at Cannonsburgh Village, a reimagined southern village composed of buildings moved from locations throughout the American mid-South to the site in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, beginning in 1974 as part of one of 16 U.S. Bicentennial Projects (prepared for the bicentennial year of 1976). The site, which invites visitors to "take a stroll through 125 years of Southern rural life," is owned by the city of Murfreesboro, whose original name was Cannonsburgh.
