The Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, the seat of a southern
Idaho county of the same two-word name. At 486 feet above the Snake River, it is (as of 2022) the eighth-highest bridge in the United States. Opened in 1976, the bridge, is named for entrepreneur I. B. Perrine, who financed massive irrigation projects in the surrounding sagebrush-filled valleys. It is a worldwide destination for avid BASS jumpers, or those who parachute off fixed objects.
